Been driving in my Elk Grove neighborhood since 1999. Two years ago they decided, due to traffic coming through this street, to put a white line, the word “Stop”, and a red stop sign in the middle of a residential street. It actually looks stupid, a passage through a small residential neighborhood and then BAM! you have to stop at this ridiculous looking white line that doesn’t even make sense or fit in. And there’s NOT that much traffic.
Am I the only one who only stops for these little menaces, these annoying little inconveniences, if there is a car waiting to go through the phony quasi-intersection? After two years, I just can’t seem to get used to there being a stop sign there.
